Niketa Calame

Niketa is most noted as the voice of Young Nala in Disney's 32nd animated classic film The Lion King. She received her Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from The Actors Studio Drama School @ New School University in New York and her BA degree in Theater Arts from The University of California, Santa Cruz. She is a union member of SAG/AFTRA and Actors Equity Association. She has directed In The Heights at UC Santa Cruz which went on to enter a few students into the Kennedy Center theater competition as well as taught acting and theater classes at East Los Angeles College and Southwest College in addition to coaching her private students. Niketa is a working actor having been on shows on NBC , MTVu, FOX and HBO to name a few. Her Favorite theater role was SQUEAK in Celebration Theaters Ovation Award winning production of The Color Purple. She has won numerous awards as well as recently being nominated for an NAACP Theater Award nomination for best leading actress in a play. Niketa has been an acting coach for the past 10 years and her clients have gone on to book professional tv,film and theater roles.
